Some of his professional highlights of the last 6 months have included assiting senior management in high profile private equity backed businesses to accurately model their business, advising a succesful Scottish SME on succession issues and working to improve the internal control and reporting in a fast growing on-line business.

I've worked on several business modelling assignments recently and one thing that really sticks out in my mind is that each one is completely different. The companies' businesses are different, their sensitivities are different, their processes are different, their skill sets are different and their information needs are different. That's why I believe that going beyond the one size fits all approach of win forecast or the often simplistic basic excel model can allow businesses to yield a lot of added value from the forecasting process.
